Review : Buyer Beware!
If you buy a Dimplex product, cross your fingers that nothing breaks because if you have to call their customer service/technical support you are in for wild ride. It will take you about 2 hours on hold to get through to a live rep (who has that luxury??). They'll tell you it's their "busy season" - meaning it's wintertime (duh!)
Now, if you're lucky enough to actually get through to a live rep, cross your fingers again that your problem wont require them sending out a rep to fix it, because you will be told to expect a call in one-to-two-days to set up an appointment (they wont give you the number to call yourself, you must wait for the call). But then the call doesn't come and you realize that your only recourse is to call Dimplex. Now your back to going on hold for two hours again.
The good news though is that if your fireplace breaks down in the middle of summer when you don't use it, you'll be able to get right through to one of their reps.
